Terms and Conditions

Last updated: August 12, 2026

These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") are a contract between you and KUECH-DEV LLC, a Washington limited liability company ("we", "us", "our"), covering your use of reflekt.me — the web app, the API behind it, and the reflekt.me website (together, the "Service").

By checking the acceptance box when you first sign in, or by continuing to use the Service, you agree to these Terms. We record the date and time you accepted them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

How we handle your information is described separately in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

1. Who may use the Service

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. The Service is for your own personal use, applying for your own roles. You may not use it on behalf of someone else without their authorization, and you may not use it if you are barred from doing so under applicable sanctions or export laws.

One account per person. You are responsible for everything done through your account and for keeping access to your email and any linked Google or GitHub account secure. Tell us at support@reflekt.me if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

2. What the Service does

You build a record of your career by uploading documents and filling in a few fields. For each role you are pursuing, you supply a job description — pasted in, or pulled from the built-in job search — and the Service uses AI to draft a resume and cover letter from your record, renders them to PDF, measures the rendered page, and revises until the result matches the length you asked for.

The Service is a drafting tool. It is not a career, legal, immigration, or employment advisor, it does not submit applications for you, and it does not promise any interview, offer, or other outcome.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you upload or type — your documents, your record, your job descriptions and instructions ("Your Content"). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, transmit, and process Your Content, and to send it to the third-party providers listed in our Privacy Policy, solely to operate the Service for you. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in routine backups until they roll off.

You confirm that you have the right to submit Your Content, that it is accurate, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights or contain confidential information you are not permitted to share. Generating a document requires sending Your Content to a third-party AI provider — if you are not willing for particular material to be processed that way, do not upload it.

4. Generated documents

As between you and us, the resumes and cover letters the Service generates for you are yours. You are free to use them for any lawful purpose. Similar or identical output may be generated for other users from similar inputs, and AI-generated material may not be eligible for copyright protection in some jurisdictions.

Generated documents are drafts. Large language models make mistakes, including confident ones: they can misstate a date, overstate a result, or drop a qualifier that matters. The Service is built to draw only on what is in your record, and an optional fact-check pass re-checks claims against it, but neither is a guarantee. You are responsible for reading every document before you send it to anyone and for the accuracy of what you send. Do not send a generated document to an employer without reviewing it.

5. Credits, prices, and payment

The Service is paid for with credits. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically. New accounts receive a starting balance of free credits, which we may change or withdraw for future accounts at any time.

  • Credit packs are sold in the app at the prices shown at the time of purchase, in US dollars, and processed by Stripe. Payment is subject to Stripe's own terms. We never receive your card details.
  • Prices are exclusive of any sales, use, VAT, GST, or similar taxes, which are your responsibility unless we are required to collect them.
  • The credit cost of a run is shown in the app before you confirm it and is fixed at the moment the run starts, so a later change to your settings or to our prices does not change what a past run cost.
  • Credits are a prepaid entitlement to use the Service. They are not money, have no cash value, do not earn interest, cannot be transferred or resold, and cannot be exchanged for a refund.
  • Credits do not expire while your account is open. Any unused credits are forfeited if you delete your account or if we terminate it for breach of these Terms.
  • Purchases are final. Except where a refund is required by law, or where we choose to give one, credit purchases are non-refundable — including for runs that produced a document you did not like.
  • Where a run fails for reasons on our side, the Service is designed to return the credits for that run to your balance automatically.

Billing errors. If your balance or a charge looks wrong, tell us at support@reflekt.me within 60 days of the entry appearing in your account activity. We will investigate, and where we confirm an error we will correct it by crediting your balance or refunding the payment, at our option. This does not limit any statutory right you have to dispute a payment with your card issuer.

If you are a consumer in the EEA or UK: by purchasing credits and using them, you ask us to begin supplying digital content immediately and acknowledge that you lose the statutory right to withdraw from the purchase once the credits have been used.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit another person's career history, or any other personal information about someone else, without their permission.
  • Instruct the Service to state qualifications, employers, dates, credentials, or results that are not true, or otherwise use it to produce misleading or fraudulent application material.
  • Attempt to bypass our content screening, or use job descriptions, instructions, or feedback crafted to manipulate the underlying models into behaviour we have not authorized.
  • Upload malware, attempt to gain access to other users' accounts or data, probe or overload our infrastructure, or interfere with anyone else's use of the Service.
  • Scrape the Service, use it through automated means to generate documents in bulk, resell it, or use it to build or train a competing product or model.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the prompts, templates, or source code behind the Service, except to the extent that restriction is unenforceable by law.
  • Use the Service for anything unlawful, or in breach of the terms of any job board, employer, or application system you interact with.

Job descriptions and similar input are screened automatically before generation runs, and a run may be flagged and stopped. We may also review content where we reasonably need to in order to investigate abuse, respond to a support request, or comply with the law. We are not obliged to monitor content, and screening is not a guarantee.

7. Job search results

The job search feature aggregates listings from third-party sources. We do not write, verify, endorse, or control those listings, and they may be inaccurate, out of date, or removed by the source at any time. Applying happens on the third party's own site, under their terms. Any dealings you have with an employer or job board are between you and them.

8. Availability and changes to the Service

We are a small operation and the Service is offered without any uptime commitment. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it, including templates, models, features, and credit prices. Generation depends on third-party AI providers and can fail, queue, or take longer than usual. Where a change is material and adverse to you, we will give reasonable notice by email or in the app when we can.

9. Suspension, termination, and deletion

You can stop using the Service at any time, and you can delete your account from the Account page. Deletion is immediate and irreversible: your record, uploads, jobs, generated documents, and remaining credits go with it. Export your data first if you want to keep it — the Account page produces a zip of everything.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if your use puts the Service or other users at risk. Where it is practical and lawful to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to export your data first. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — content licences already granted, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and dispute resolution — do survive it.

10. Our intellectual property, and your feedback

The Service itself — the software, templates, prompts, design, and the reflekt.me name and logo — belongs to us and our licensors, and nothing in these Terms transfers it to you. If you send us feedback, a bug report, a feature request, or a screenshot through the in-app widget or by email, you grant us an unrestricted, perpetual, royalty-free right to use it to improve the Service, without obligation or attribution to you.

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that generated documents will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular application, that they will be parsed or scored favourably by any applicant tracking system, or that using them will lead to any employment outcome. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties; in those places, this section applies to the maximum extent permitted, and nothing here removes rights a consumer has that cannot be waived.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither we nor our suppliers are liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, lost employment, lost goodwill, or lost or corrupted data, arising out of or relating to the Service — even if we have been advised that such damages are possible.

Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you actually paid us in that period and US$100.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, these limits apply only to the extent the law where you live permits them.

13. Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold us harmless against claims, damages, losses, and reasonable legal costs brought by a third party and arising from Your Content, from your use of the Service in breach of these Terms or the law, or from a document you sent to someone else after generating it here. This does not apply to the extent the claim results from our own breach or negligence, and it does not apply to consumers where local law does not permit it.

14. Resolving disputes

Talk to us first. If something goes wrong, email legal@reflekt.me with a description of the problem and what you would like us to do. Both of us agree to try in good faith to resolve it informally for 30 days before starting formal proceedings.

Where claims are heard. If that does not resolve it, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Washington, and both of us consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Both of us waive any right to a jury trial, and, to the extent permitted by law, agree that claims may be brought only individually and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class or representative action.

Time limit. Any claim relating to the Service must be brought within one year after it arises, to the extent that limit is permitted where you live.

If you are a consumer resident in the EEA or the UK, nothing above deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence, including the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this does not override the mandatory law of your own country of residence.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date above and, for changes that materially affect your rights, give notice by email or ask you to accept the new version in the app before you continue. Changes are not retroactive. If you do not accept a new version, your remedy is to stop using the Service and delete your account.

17. General

  • These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us about the Service and replace any earlier version.
  • If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force and that provision is narrowed to the minimum extent needed to make it enforceable.
  • Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • Neither of us is liable for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, including provider outages, network failures, and acts of government.
  • Legal notices to us go to legal@reflekt.me. Notices to you go to the email address on your account, and are treated as received when sent.
  • Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, agency, or employment relationship.
